Brothers and sisters, a Christianity on the cheap, a faithfulness that secures privileges and favors, a following that does not bear the sign of the cross, has little to do with Jesus of Nazareth. Let us pray.
We want to welcome all those who need us
• That in the Church we may be aware that adherence to Jesus admits no compromise; that our commitment to the most disadvantaged must be clear, that our words and gestures must always generate life.
We want to welcome all those who need us
• That the call to “preserve life” may lead us to administer it wisely, to heal it, to defend it, to protect it especially in contexts where it is threatened.
We want to welcome all those who need us
• That the call to “lose life” may lead us to take risks, to spend ourselves without reserve, to give ourselves passionately, to be willing to lose ourselves for worthy causes…
We want to welcome all those who need us
• That all of us hear the call to give ourselves without reserve, to give and spend ourselves in the simplicity of each day, without stinting on time and resources, putting what we are and have at the service of others.
We want to welcome all those who need us
• That the army of men and women who work quietly and freely, in a thousand corners of this world, because their hearts move them to stand with those who suffer, may feel our gratitude, support and collaboration.

Good Father Mother, we want to hear your call to welcome, to offer ourselves in listening and possibility of dialogue and encounter. Trusting in you, may we be leaven and your imprint.
