Brothers and sisters, Jesus with his word today invites us to courage, to trust and to good spirits in difficult times, hardship and persecution. Let us pray.
May our word strengthen, sustain and encourage
• May the Church have words of confirmation, consolation and encouragement for all believers, both men and women, who live their faith without freedom, even under threat of death.
May our word strengthen, sustain and encourage
• May our parish and religious communities be houses with open doors, which through welcome, listening and tenderness strengthen the fears of the men and women of our time.
May our word strengthen, sustain and encourage
• May our social, political and economic institutions be capable of traveling paths of encounter, dialogue and peace so that they may resolve the current problems of our world.
May our word strengthen, sustain and encourage
• May we believers keep very present the words of Jesus not to be afraid and may we feel invited to be channels of a more just and dignified life for the most disadvantaged.
May our word strengthen, sustain and encourage
• May all of us be a source of care, tenderness and affection beside those who feel abandoned, singled out, excluded, sick, deprived of freedom and voice.
May our word strengthen, sustain and encourage
Good Father Mother, we give you thanks because you invite us to live as leaven of your Kingdom: without fear, with boldness, sustained by your word and your gaze.
