I was born in Belgium in 1961, I am married and have two children. I am a theologian and pastor of the Protestant Church of San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid). Above all, I consider myself a Christian humanist. I do not believe in dogmas or metaphysics, but I do believe in a gospel of the ‘here and now’ that involves embodying the values of Jesus in our everyday lives. Therefore, I promote a tolerant, rational, and universal thought and faith. I feel like an heir to the humanist Sébastien Castellion (1515-1563), having conducted research on the reformist movements of the 16th century. Currently, I participate in the Marcel Légaut Association of Spain. I am in charge of the Spanish section of the PROTESTANTS DANS LA VILLE website and work on translations for ÉVANGILE ET LIBERTÉ. Both are organs of French liberal Protestantism, of which I am a member. My main concern is how to make Christianity understandable in the secular society of the 21st century.
