I was born in March 1973 in Madrid. I am the third of four siblings. My father was the first promoter of this website. When he retired and had more time, he dedicated himself to a task that had been on his mind for years. My mother helped him by naming it “fe adulta” (adult faith). It was about countering the fear of truth that exists in many church environments. For example, when dialogue with the sciences is seen as a risk to faith, or when theologians who, after a lifetime of study, try to present what they have honestly discovered are put on the spot. In the face of these situations, my parents saw the need to promote a space without censorship and without fear of the truth; with the freedom to leave behind the faith of our childhood and embrace a much more adult faith, critical of some dogmas and traditions. When my parents passed away, leaving this portal orphaned, I felt the need to continue with this beautiful task, and I have been dedicated to it since February 2015.
