Brothers and sisters, in today’s Word, Jesus has reminded us that believers are called to be leaven of a new humanity that reaches all. Let us pray.

We want to be light and life in everyday things, with everyday people.

• That the Church, with its words and actions, makes visible the transformative power of the Gospel, being a presence of the Kingdom here and now.

We want to be light and life in everyday things, with everyday people.

• That believers understand the sending and mission as a mark of identity of our faith and our following of Jesus, the Master.

We want to be light and life in each day, with those of each day.

• That all of us are aware that we are called to be signs of God and his Kingdom before the world; that we cannot shrink back or set limits to the Good News.

We want to be light and life in each day, with those of each day.

• That parish and religious communities manifest what we are, give what we have, be “prophecy” not only in words but with deeds.

We want to be light and life in each day, with those of each day.

• Let’s put peace on earth, let us be Good News, let us be a channel of good, let our footprints be seeds of the Kingdom.

• Let’s be light and life in everyday things, with everyday people.

Good Mother Father, may we be men and women who put salt and light into life; may our presence broaden hearts, offer horizons and meaning.
