Brothers and sisters, in the life of Jesus thanksgiving and praise occupy a central place; the free and gratuitous love of God is at the origin of everything. Let us pray.
We give you thanks Father, of heaven and earth
That our beloved Church feels inclined toward the “small ones”: the poor, hungry, afflicted, sick, invisible and excluded of this world.
We give you thanks Father, of heaven and earth
That believers recover the evangelical attitude of admiration and praise because they create a lifestyle closer to that of Jesus.
We give you thanks Father, of heaven and earth
That all of us allow ourselves to be invaded by the Gospel and live open and opened to the newness of the Kingdom that Jesus brings.
We give you thanks Father, of heaven and earth
That governments and institutions make an effort to end the political, economic, social differences that “condemn” a good part of humanity to exclusion, poverty, hunger…
We give you thanks Father, of heaven and earth
That peace be possible in our world; that each of us be seeds of peace in the day-to-day and with those of each day.
We give you thanks Father, of heaven and earth
Good Mother Father, may participation in this Eucharist mean a commitment on our part to open ourselves to God so that our life changes and becomes a bridge of change in the lives of so many.
