At the bottom of the sea there is no turbulence

We are living through times of hurricanes and turbulence: atmospheric, political, social, personal. Amidst these circumstances, it’s easy to participate in a diffuse feeling of anguish, to which is added the invasion of a gossipy mind that hinders us. Can I be happy or at least be at peace?

The day you see clearly that you are not the little character who debates in the daily affairs of good and evil, love and heartbreak, joy and sadness, bad and good news, but that you are the real self that resides within you, life unfolds and peace arrives.

But that doesn’t mean suffering ceases.

While we live in the relativity of space and time, sorrowful stories, good and bad days, the ups and downs of limitation will come.

The difference is that you will be able to look at the pain as if from a box seat.

On the surface, the sea or the atmosphere will be calm or turbulent, with gentle or choppy waves. But in the depths the sea will always remain undisturbed, still, eternal, full; and up above continues the immense starry sky. Waves and wind can shake you. Could you limit yourself to going outside of all that without judging? Remain attentive.

Some mystics taught that one must disregard the “outside,” that ebb and flow of the waves, the tide’s flow and reflux, the temporality.

But **the waves are also part of the sea.** The stillness of the sea, bloodied by twilight, is beautiful. And the storm and the gale are also beautiful, although harsh. If you know the game and the variety of colors, you will enjoy them «to the fullest».

The key is to see them from the bottom, getting involved just enough, like someone contemplating the Titanic disaster from a cinema seat. You’re scared, but not entirely, because you know it’s just a film. You are and you are not. As long as this universe exists, turbulence will be present, which is also beautiful and makes sense, if viewed from the silence of the bottom, from its function in the universe. You will have to fight to change what is changeable, of course. Above all, you must prevent accidents caused by cyclones, dances, injustices, and diseases and urge those changes on those responsible. But in the end, you can’t stop the hurricane.

That is, **you can spiritually surf on it, or dive deeper, connecting with the presence that dwells within, with its silence, the sea and the firmament of energy without a surname that originates it and to which you belong.**
