Hand in hand with the evangelist John, we receive three key words to define Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life. A way is something very concrete. It is not an abstract idea, but a concrete invitation to follow his steps, assume his way of looking at life, and identify ourselves with his values. His truth is not logical; it refers to the authenticity of his commitment and his surrender. It is a path that does not lead us to any external place. It is an inner journey toward fullness of life.
