Second sunday after christmas

Vicky Irigaray Avatar

Brothers and sisters, the Word comes to manifest the presence of God in history that reaches its fullness in the incarnation of Jesus that we celebrate at Christmas. Let us pray.

We want to be the word of Jesus for our brothers and sisters

• That the word of our Church is always a generator of life, Good News, a light that illuminates all men and women of this world.

We want to be the word of Jesus for our brothers and sisters

• That our parish and religious communities are spaces of listening, welcome, that always offer a healing word to those who need it.

We want to be the word of Jesus for our brothers and sisters

• That all of us make Christmas a commitment to reach out to the peripheries of our towns, neighborhoods, and cities and be the embodied presence of Jesus.

We want to be the word of Jesus for our brothers and sisters.

• That we always offer one another a word that broadens life, offers a horizon, meaning in the midst of difficulty, and illuminates the paths of peace.

We want to be the word of Jesus for our brothers and sisters.

Good Father Mother, welcoming your Word makes us your sons and daughters, and we can only respond to that grace by becoming brothers and sisters to one another.
