Our true and only intention is to help you strengthen your faith in Jesus of Nazareth; to increase your love for humanity; and to ensure you never lose hope in the Father of all.
We have no desire to scandalize anyone or to toy with such serious matters.
This portal is not for everyone. It is not written for that still vast number of believers who live their faith peacefully and securely in a God the Father who loves humanity, rewards the good, and punishes the wicked—those whom theology can only disturb. Anonymous children of a good God. Many, unknowingly.
These pages are written with others in mind. Those whose faith is entangled in a clerical church they do not understand or, at times, accept. To them, we would like to say that they are not alone; that there are many of us.
The conclusions we reach are implicit or explicit in most of the books by the finest theologians and in the most current analyses of the content of Christianity’s sacred texts.
Nothing in theology is ever finished. In the Catholic world—ours—we suffer from an inflation of dogmas, solutions, and answers. Dogmas, solutions, and answers that have been devalued. No longer of value in the “market.”
To renew is not to renounce. To rethink is not to abjure. To mature is not to forget. Relativity is not relativism.
Either we grow or our faith dies. A mature faith is a personal, courageous faith, without childish fears. A mature faith is only found in adults who are not afraid to question, not afraid of doubt, not afraid to go against the tide, to protest before the Sanhedrin, to ask Jesus again and again: where do you live?
Within the plurality and diversity of topics, you will find a stream of new thoughts, new lights that will not leave you indifferent: you will be outraged or you will find peace. But do not stop: keep thinking, keep searching. Live your faith as an adult.
Life itself will speak to you of God. “There are many other things that you cannot understand now. The Spirit will guide you into all truth.”
